there once was a liam zone user,
a silly incompetent loser.
he dropped out of school,
was labeled a fool,
spent the rest of his life as a boozer.
muahaahahaahaha.

Yes this is meant to be amusing and harmless but,you have no idea of the destructive effect of alcoholism on a person's life its as bad, if not worse, than heroin...I've witnessed it so the comedic aspect of the joke is lost on me

Post 3 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 15-Feb-2005 23:51:49

Okay well yell at Sax I didn't write it lol ... and yes it was meant to be funny, and I do realize alchohol is serious, really I do ... but Goblin I notice you seem to think other jokes are funny and some of them have references that could also be taken the wrong way, so why get ngry about this one?

Post 4 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Tuesday, 15-Feb-2005 23:56:20

I have seen the same thing, but yall need to sometimes get out of your damned shells and laugh. it is a joke. and should be taken as such. If your sense of humor is nothing, then stop reading this board! joke board. j o k e board! funny stuff! not serious stuff! Please!!!

Post 5 by kool_turk (This site is so "educational") on Tuesday, 15-Feb-2005 23:59:33

Hey, I thought it was funny!

Post 6 by KC8PNL (The best criticism of the bad is the practice of the better.) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 0:05:35

There once was a Scott named gob, who loved to play with his knob. He played with it so much, that it became soar to the touch, and fell off in a small blob. haha

Post 7 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 0:13:23

There once was a weirdo named D, he happens to be a friend to me. He's really a freak, he's never been meek, and another thing, he cannot see. That's really stupid but it's the firsto ne I've ever written so gimme credit.

Post 8 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 0:16:40

Hehehehe lol Liam you're exactly right. And seeing as the joke's about you, you're the only one with permission to be offended really. And KT I thoguht it was funny too. And rotfl Kc...

Post 9 by Saxman (Account disabled) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 0:39:19

There once was a sad party pooper, who didn't think my joke was super. he got all incensed, made known his offense, but nobody here gives a fooper.

Post 10 by Jess227 on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 0:45:48

Looks like the Joke's on you Gob. Yup agreed it's a place for humor. With no more needing said from my end: I agree with Liam, Saxman, and Caitlin. By the way love the lil snipts of rhyme very clever.

Post 11 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 0:54:17

Very nice Sax, Saxman strikes again, and go Jessicah ahah

Post 12 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 6:57:49

he he. nice, like it... smile. As far as the alcoholism thing goes, my dad is an alcoholic and the stuff i could tell you he's said and done to me, would make you sick, but stuff it. If I can find it funny, so can you... Life would be a very boring place if noone smiled or laughed. get over it an get on with your life.

Post 13 by Goblin (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 9:14:49

When you have seen 1st hand the terrible legacy of alcohol addiction maybe you lot will grow up and realise that any addiction, no matter how trivial it may appear,is extremely harmful to those involved

..Sugar your very lucky unfortunately to me this "joke" is highly childish and pathetic, why? Because I've seen someone close to me almost destroyed by a violent alcoholic relative...their suffering was anything but amusing...

Post 14 by Nem (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 13:15:12

Once upon a midnight dreary, Gobbi pondered, weak and weary. Teary, bleary were his eyes, and much to KC eight's surprise The blob of knob lay on the floor, poor old gobbi sat weak and sobbi. He could no longer play his knobbi so instead he switched the gears, dried and vanished were his tears, and now the world's got one new fear, sweet gobbi said oh my dear, thanks for everything, Julie Newmar!

Post 15 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 13:23:04

My dad's a recovering alcoholic and I'm sure even he would find that funny. To bad Goblin doesn't appreciate humor. Lighten the fuck up already! Jesus!

Post 16 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 14:52:33

Well, that just goes to show how much you really know people on the net then doesnt' it. my dad near on destroyed me, but you bounce back because you have too, because if you don't, you might as well die. if you don't like it, don't read it. not everyone is the same, and the day you accept that, is the day the zone will be a better place.

Post 17 by Jess227 on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 16:25:48

Laughter is the best medicine. I joke about my blindness and people think I'm crazy. But I always felt that if you joke about it and humorize it makes adapting to a disability a little easier and people find you're more at ease with your disability then seeing you all upset and crying for attention. It helped me learn alot more then I've ever dreamed and well it kept me from hitting rock bottom. So yeah laughter is the best thing if you're down.

Post 18 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 17:06:33

Post 24 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Thursday, 17-Feb-2005 13:08:44

Look goblin, you've made your point. you're totally entitled to your oppinion but it was a joke on a joke board and, as repeated by numerous people on this site to you, time and time again, if you dont' like what you're reading, don't read it! Just give it a rest will you?

Post 25 by wildebrew (We promised the world we'd tame it, what were we hoping for?) on Thursday, 17-Feb-2005 14:08:56

Bloody hillarious and nightmares, well Nightmare on Elm Street are really pretty funny movies in a way if you appreciate really bad horror movies those are actually. And, goblin, I find this particularly ironic since you've stated time and time again your admiaration for Marilyn Manson's music that essentiallyglorifies dark issues, drugs (Disposable Teens e.g., Dope Show) and even much darker themes in his music and according to your philosophy that's not very acceptible now is it ?

Post 26 by Nem (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 17-Feb-2005 22:47:29

I woke in a sweat and reached for my pet, it lay there all wet, not moving upset. Didn't mean to offend, Ill make amends, I tickeled and stroked him, then smacked and choacked him. But on the bed there he lies, covered in flies. I tried to revive him push Pulled and tugged him and still he would, not, rise. Out of my head my eyes did roll, for my knob was a blob I tossed out the door.

Wildebrew since when did we embrace the morality of an
80yrold prude...Manson's music has absolutely no correlation to alcoholism and you also display the senationalist ignorance so typical of those, who misconstrue Manson's true intentions............

1.The dark nihalistic lyrics are in response to the sweetness and light the christians are so fond of shoving down peoples throats...Manson is asking us to confront what we would rather ignore......

..Dope Show is designed to show how reliant the human race are on drugs, have you really listened to any songs on Mechanical Animals ect, and absorbed the true meaning behind the lyrics..."they love you when your on all the covers,we'er all stars now in the dope show" the lyrics are a sarcastic response to the superficiality of popularity and how we'er all slaves to the drug culture...obviously that escaped your notice hmm? so in future if your going to insult Manson, please do your research before hand.....

Post 33 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Friday, 18-Feb-2005 10:08:08

Post 34 by Goblin (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Friday, 18-Feb-2005 10:41:21

no I'm simply trying to point out where certain childish numpties have gone wrong..but as usual they are not listening which just proves my point....

Post 35 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 19-Feb-2005 2:49:41

Goblin of course I wouldn't joke about nightmares and so on. I didn't even write the freaking limerick okay? Now I'm sorry if I offended and I honestly didn't mean to, but this is a joke board, and I thought it was funny and so did liam, and Saxman is totally not to blame because he was trying to be funny too. As Sugar says, fi you don't like it don't read it. Honestly, i didn't mean to offend. I'm sorry I ever started thsi topic in the first place.

Heh Goblin gotta admit your bit about the floor was funny. Lol grins.

Post 40 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Monday, 21-Feb-2005 13:06:55

spot the person who cares goblin.... my education is something that you will never be able to measure, because of your not knowing me, whereas your patronising is something that i can measure very well. just because someone has got fed up with you, and i'm not the only person who has i can assure you, doesn't mean that they are uneducated. i would hazzard a guess that that makes them the norm. so, goodbye....

Post 41 by fastfinge (I can't call it a day til I enter the zone BBS) on Monday, 21-Feb-2005 19:51:29

Manson? The man who is directly responsible through his songs for numerous murders, teen violence, maladjusted persons, etc? If I had my way the man would be convicted to death. If I didn't believe in a hell I would say that even that's too good for him. The only thing I find more offensive than his music is child pornography. Oh, and I'm not a prude. I have no problems with eminem, ICP, etc. At least I can see the point of those groups.

Post 42 by Goblin (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Tuesday, 22-Feb-2005 10:08:10

he is NOT responsible for what goes on in the minds of children who are already disturbed the teenage years are a peak time for mental illness to strike how can a singer be held responsible for that...there is however a very real danger when these troubled and disturbed teenagers turn to Manson instead of their teachers, parents or friends ect,

....why? do they rely on him to provide the answer and NOT the very people they should be able to confide in hmmm?...can you explain that...And you would like him killed well wasn't that a mature and well thought out response..you are the personification of everything Manson warns about in his music..mindless..thoughtless...ignorant hate!...I've been listening to this genuis for 9 years and I don't feel the need to kill or hate a single living soul, not even an ignorant waste of space such as yourself.

wahoo for goblin, the mental health genious!!! Actually, if you knew anything about psychology, you'd know that role moddles such as him can be, and it a large amount are, the route cause of a lot of behaviour, simply because people look up to them and respect them for their beliefs and behaviour! So now who's not thought out what they're saying? Oh dear, did I shock you with my level of education? do excuse me......

Post 45 by fastfinge (I can't call it a day til I enter the zone BBS) on Tuesday, 22-Feb-2005 15:58:08

You call me names, and in the same breath claim not to hate? Sure, sure. Also, don't call anyone uneducated until you can learn to use some goddamn punctuation and grammer. You couldn't even graduate Canadian high school with your obvious lack of literacy. If you can't pass the grade 10 literacy test, and you couldn't, you're held back until you can. Maybe they should bring a similar program into Scotland? "..." is not propper punctuation. Also, your post contains several third grade spelling mistakes. I'm betting you spent your formative years in thoughtless idel worship, worshipping Manson, the idel for people too cowardly to worship satan. Either that or all of the athletic activities you claim to engage in have wrotted away your brain.

Post 46 by Star (Honorary Bitch of the Zone) on Tuesday, 22-Feb-2005 20:51:26

Wow people, WOW I SAY! What is going on here??? Huh? Who said that you sugar and fastfinge may write such things about Goblin? People, I am supposed to be the one and only one who here who has a personal vendetta with Goblin. That also means that ONLY I, yes only I, may post messages of hate because as Goblin is a vampire and I am a cobra we can bite each other for ever. Now please, no transpassing of these regulations. I insist!!! (OK, I am just joking here)

Post 47 by Goblin (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Wednesday, 23-Feb-2005 9:19:05

No Manson has consistantly been used as a scapegoat by christian groups who are blind to the real issues facing teenagers today,he was linked with and blamed for, the Columbine massacre, when it was later revealed two lads were NOT fans of Manson the authorities refused to believe the facts..why? because its more convenient for these closed minded eejits to believe their own bullshit, that it is for them to face the truth, their closed nminded sensationalist nonsense disguised as religion has destroyed many more lives, than Manson ever could.

........Fastfinger you are wrong again as far as my formative years they were spent studying music and passing all my exams with very high marks, putting together a/goth black metal band with great results, climbing mountains, learning to drive and eh enjoying life...I only discovered Manson 9 years ago,as I previously mentioned, obviously that escaped your notice in the middle of your childish rant, and FYI I can call someone the worst name in creation and NOT harbour 1 ounce of hatred towards them its called perspective. Also I passed my english higher exam with a straight A twice! Then went on to uni where I graduated with 2 honours degrees 1 in music, the other, in psychology..

Post 48 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Wednesday, 23-Feb-2005 11:41:07

well, the fact that you say you're so well educated goblin, is I think a crying shame as you're obviously not doing much with your life right now are you. I'll be the first to say that I'm not, but come April, I will be. It's a shame how such insignificant people get worked up about the most insignificant things isn't it... and it's also such a shame that they can't take a joke... that plus the fact that they're not forced to read these things, all make you a bit of a loser don't they. everyone else can take a joke, so I suggest you stay away from the joke board if you're gunna carry on harping on about bullshit that noone, aside from yourself, cares about

Post 49 by wildebrew (We promised the world we'd tame it, what were we hoping for?) on Wednesday, 23-Feb-2005 13:12:26

Goblin
Well, and how are we relying on drugs, how is society so drug dependent, none of my friends are, a few have tried pot, but out of all the 30 or 40 people I know and went to school with only 1 guy actually got seriously into drugs, a smart guy who could have a nice job and contribute to society but decided to go drug hunting instead and now lives of social security or unemployement rbenefits which the rst of us tax payers are in fact providing. If society was as reliant on drugs and violence and anarchy as Manson would let us believe, well, there would be no social security system, no reserach and development, innoveation or health care, the imagery he provides is very twisted. I'll be the first one to admit I have little sympathy for tele avengelists etc, they provide a very twisted and exeggarated view of the world and of society and his view is quite the same, in fact, only on the other side .. to quote from an article about him
"
During his rise to fame in the south Florida underground scene, he recounts atrocities committed in drug induced sprees of nihilism: sabotaging nativity
scenes in an attempt to create political uprising; making prank calls to a girl whom he lusts after; then threatening to rape her and crush her with his
car; tying a naked woman to a cross and using naked children as props in his stage act; considering killing a band member; and actually plotting his ex-girlfriend's
murder.
"
So, this is the guy whose work you are so proud of and yet you have problem with a joke that merely mentions alcoholism and makes fun of it, and your reasons being that one can't imagine the pain and suffering the victims of alcoholism endure, and yet you follow a guy who studied and admired the work of serial killers, and how much pain does it inflict when your family number has been raped and killed and cut up to pieces. I enjoy a few of his songs, some of his lyrics make some sort of sense in a very twisted kind of way but his dark depiction of human nature and his view of people as stupid and mindless followers is jut downirhgt depressing, sure he has attracted a vulnerable generation of people who really think it's cool to cut thsmselves and take drugs, at least if they had followed the avenglists preachings instead they would dedicate their lives for doing good in society, helping the poor volunteering etc so their obsession is in fact put to good use, instead they cut themselves, take drugs, commit crime, get into alcohol and sex rituals, get HIV and burden society with massive health care system expenses and cause harm and grief to regular families who are simply trying to get by, yes indeed, he is the master, what a role model . I'm afraid we completely disagree on this one in fact.
Cheers
-B
p.s. STar sorry I just had to weigh in on this one and, mind you, this is not a personal rant against Goblin himself, not at all, simpy against his belief and his contribution to this discussion, at no point do I refer to him as evil or bad or pathetic or a loser etc, I never intend to do so in any way in fact.

Post 50 by EssenceOfFaith (The Creamy Apple) on Thursday, 24-Feb-2005 15:19:21

I am sick and tired of the false preachers and Antichrists on the TV, most people's source of information about the world, being taken as Christianity. These people know as much about Christians as Goblin does: nothing. As for those good marks, I quite honestly don't believe you, Goblin. You are not showing any proof of education in your writing style, and you don't look likely to start. Unless you write posts consistent with your claimed level of education, I am either going to have to discount these claims entirely or request proof. As for your athletic accomplishments, I have no proof you didn't, but I have no proof you did, either. I shall reserve judgement. About the only things I believe in your post are your sincerity in your unbelievably closed minded anti-Christian propaganda that you have spoon fed yourself due to your subconscious fear of Christ and the afterlife that awaits, and your formation of a goth black metal band. Anyone can form a band, and most people can make harmonious sounds with instruments. Not that that's a requirement for a goth band, of course. Although the fact that you are or were involved in something tagging itself as goth (according to my dictionary, the word means "A crude uncouth ill-bred person lacking culture or refinement") is somehow fitting.

Star, this f...fellow has angered me. I shall be joining your vendetta. Stop fighting and make some room. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Well, for a while.

Post 52 by Star (Honorary Bitch of the Zone) on Friday, 25-Feb-2005 1:17:52

Wildbrew, I never called Goblin as you mentioned "as evil or bad or pathetic or a loser" I just said that he is using his posts to create upheaval because he enjoys when he stirs things up and has people argue back and forth while he pretends he has nothing to do with it. I did say that he is a drama queen and a vampire, though. . . . Fastfinge, I must insist that this is my "holy war against the infidel", my own little jihad on the boards so I will have to continue my lonely fight like Don Quixote against the windmills on my own! Wasn't that poetic, now? Huh? huh? LOL

Post 53 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Friday, 25-Feb-2005 9:24:58

Manson is a joke and even he'll admit it. He is a button-pusher. He says this stuff to get people going, and just as he suspected, they all go nuts. What everyone forgets here is that it's all an act. Don't take what he says seriously. I have a few of his albums but I only liked 2 of them, those being Antichrist Superstar, and Mechanical Animals.

Post 54 by fastfinge (I can't call it a day til I enter the zone BBS) on Friday, 25-Feb-2005 9:30:47

But didn't even Don Quixote have a squire (Sancho Panza)? lol. I, too, think you're a little nuts and am in it for the money. Joking! It's about time we got some humour on the joke board.

Post 55 by wildebrew (We promised the world we'd tame it, what were we hoping for?) on Friday, 25-Feb-2005 9:34:14

indeed.
Star, no, you didn't do all the name calling others did some of it.
Yeap, I like both of these albums to some extent, but he's definitely more of a joke and intellectual .. I highly doubt it, he's in it for the money whatever he says .. the bigger cult, the more people buy his albums, .. it's dollars and cents ladies and gents (now that was poetic)
cheers

Wildebrew ...Manson has never made any secret of the fact that he longed to be a famous rock star...and intellectually speaking,hmmm well having listened to countless honest and very revealing interviews,and the twisted brilliance of Antichrist Superstar {do you understand the concept behind that album anyone who claims to understand the meaning of Manson's ideas,is lying }
more times than I care to remember,I'd rate him highly

....if you bother to look beyond the "mind control" that bothers you so much, you will see the creative, imaginative genuis, that his true fans recognise..also they despise those who allow Manson to dictate their every move...
